Why do you feel that it’s okay to create further division among races? Are we as a whole society not ready to do away with the prejudices of our past and move forward? I agree there are some who are not, on both sides of that spectrum, but as a whole; WE ARE READY. A criminal is a criminal, no matter the color of their skin or the context of their creed. We need to quit. You need to quit and let us move forward. For this reason alone it is more than important enough to ensure that a proper statement is made to the media, so the American people can hear the “rest of the story” and know this truly had NOTHING to do with race. You may have released another statement that depicts the Ferguson Police Department as being racially biased, profiling the black community members and unfairly antagonizing them, but that is an issue separate from the Wilson/Brown issue. If this is happening in their community, then measures NEED to be instituted to prevent it, but quit trying to blend them together. If you’re breaking the law, you’re breaking the law, regardless of any other factors. There is a simple solution that will fix that… stop breaking the law.
As we move forward into our future, We the People must always look to ways of creating a more united populace. One that is responsible, self-regulating and self-sufficient. We have to be true respecters of others’ rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” with a blind eye toward race or religion. This is the way to regain the “We the People” control our Framers intended. We have to work together and ALL be willing to respect the rights of our neighbors.
We have been given the greatest gift a Nation of people could be given… one of liberty and freedom for all, equally. We may not have always been the most perfect Nation in the world. We may not have always been equal respecters of all, but there is NO reason we cannot move forward and become the Nation our forefathers dreamed about.
As for the Eric Holder and the DO(i)J; good “freakin” job. Y’all do know that in the real world, if you had performed in this manner you would be unemployed? If we do not start holding our government officials to the same standard we are held to in the private sector, our country will be lost forever!
